Fiduciary Standard

Comprehensive Fiduciary Governance, No Exceptions.

Tanara operates as a dedicated fiduciary in Utah. We’re legally and ethically required to act in your best interest – with transparent advice and clear disclosures regarding our client-first standard.

Fiduciary vs. Suitability Standard

Not all financial professionals are held to the same standard:

  • Fiduciary Standard. Registered Investment Advisers are legally required to act in your best interest, disclose or eliminate material conflicts of interest, and give objective advice.
  • Suitability Standard. Many broker-dealers and commission-based agents only need to recommend products that are “suitable” even if a higher-cost or lower-performing option earns them a larger commission.

Working with an independent fiduciary in Utah means your advisor’s recommendations aren’t shaped by external incentives.

What Our Fiduciary Duty Means for You

  • Complete Transparency – clear disclosure of all advisory services, costs, and potential conflicts of interest upfront
  • Portfolio Stewardship – every recommendation built around your specific profile and goals
  • Custom Planning – no standardized playbook; strategy built around your Utah goals
  • Clear Communication – plain language, not industry jargon

Why It Matters

Understanding the fiduciary standard helps you know what to expect from an advisory relationship. It’s the foundation of every recommendation we make for our Utah clients.

Charities

At Tanara, lifting others and caring for our communities is part of our purpose. We support nonprofit organizations that reflect the values of our firm and our clients, combining thoughtful financial contributions with hands-on involvement to create meaningful impact.

We believe true legacy is measured not only by what we build, but by how we leave others better than we found them.
